Looky looky who's 2!

Scott celebrated his 2nd birthday before Christmas with a small party with our neighbor, Jan. Maybe I'm a lame Mom but I don't do big parties right now... he doesn't care! He had a blast! At 2, Scott is talking up a storm, eating everything in sight, even attempting to sit on the potty. He does whatever Sarah does (within reason..) and keeps his Mamma on her toes! We love you so, so much Scotty and love your happy personality!

Then we opened Christmas presents with Jan because we were heading to Florida for Christmas.

Don't you love his eyes??

 Sarah's new dollhouse!

Then we ended the party with a good old fashioned noodle fight. Perfect day!

Prima Ballerina

Sarah is in a little ballet class and LOVES it! She does plies and arabesques all the time and always wants to wear her leotard, tutu or princess dress so she can dance around. It's adorable.

Snow!

This was our first real snow before Christmas. It was fluffy and perfect for snowman-making.

The Graduate

He did it! Can you tell he's excited? Congrats to my man for all his hard work, late nights and giving up weekends to complete his MBA! We are blessed to have had the opportunity to do it. What's next for us? We'll most likely be in Rochester for 2 more years to pay back IBM for the degree and then.... ? Somewhere warmer and closer to family we hope!

Dear old Santa Clause

This is our Mall Santa Clause. He is amazing! He comes back every year and has these funky shirts, the best beard and rosy cheeks. Oh, and Crocs. Our kids are always shy, Scott surprisingly so. I didn't think he would be, but Sarah definitely. So Santa sat on the floor, read some books and sang songs with the kids. He was very sweet. Thanks Santa, we love you!

Sleeping beauty

She got bored watching him play his airplane game.

 Gotcha!
She's been found sleeping the wrong way like this a lot.. guess she likes to go against the grain :) Love our little Princess!

The Zoo

So we try to come up with things to do in the frigid MN winter. Before it got too cold.. we went up to a zoo in the Twin Cities. It is actually free!! and really cool. I imagine it's totally amazing in the summer when all the animals are out and it's not 30 degrees outside!
Don't you love the people? (and monkeys) :)

 Tigers!

 ROAAAAAAAAAR!
These seals were going crazy and barking at someone's guide dog. It was really interesting to see them be so territorial.

The zoo is connected to the MN conservatory, which is BEAUTIFUL! We didn't see a lot of it but sure enjoyed the greenery.

Halloween

Our family costume theme this year was Peter Pan. I had to in-doctrine Sarah with who Tinkerbell was so she was excited to dress up like her. I made their costumes and had a lot of fun doing it! Here's us at our ward Halloween party. Waaaaaaaaaaaay to much candy was consumed that night. It was eaten almost as fast as it was put into their buckets.
