Dancing Queen

My friend did an amazing dancing class for little girls this past winter and this was their recital. It was so adorable! And it was my first experience as a mom to watch my child do something like that. I can't wait for more moments like this! She grew soo so much from this class! Socially, and with coordination too. She has trouble with large, new social situations but when she came around and got used to it, she LOVED it and couldn't wait to go each week. And at home she would do little ballet moves and say 'look Mommy! I'm doing plie!' Loved it. Love her.
Isn't she just so cute! Click here to see video of it and prepare yourself for major cuteness.

March birthdays

We both have our birthdays in March but this year, this year Kurtis turned 30!
Whoa. 30.
He wasn't too thrilled about the idea (like we have control over it) and so I decided to throw a 'surprise party' at the bowling alley! A fun throwback, complete with a Kurtis quiz, strawberry ccheesecake and 80s party favors. To celebrate his 1983 birthday.

Our friends, the Davis' (due 2 days apart)

Still got it after 6 years :)
My birthday was a quieter affair, with chocolate cake. Yum. My 30th will come in 2 years. Expect big things :) We are so blessed, and I'm so grateful for that!

MN Winter

How do you live in Minnesota? I often ask myself that during the winter. Luckily, it does it warm enough sometimes to enjoy the snow. There was no limit to snow this past winter. Here we are making the most of it. I think this was one of our last snowmen because it started melting soon after. Of course, we got a freak storm on May 2 (never before on record!) that dropped over a foot of HEAVY snow, but it's actually fun to play in. Unless you're pregnant. So I took the pictures.

Oh, I put Scott to work. I'm thinkin' next year he'll be ready to do it alone.    :)

Never eat yellow snow..

Looky looky who's 2!

Scott celebrated his 2nd birthday before Christmas with a small party with our neighbor, Jan. Maybe I'm a lame Mom but I don't do big parties right now... he doesn't care! He had a blast! At 2, Scott is talking up a storm, eating everything in sight, even attempting to sit on the potty. He does whatever Sarah does (within reason..) and keeps his Mamma on her toes! We love you so, so much Scotty and love your happy personality!

Then we opened Christmas presents with Jan because we were heading to Florida for Christmas.

Don't you love his eyes??

 Sarah's new dollhouse!

Then we ended the party with a good old fashioned noodle fight. Perfect day!

Prima Ballerina

Sarah is in a little ballet class and LOVES it! She does plies and arabesques all the time and always wants to wear her leotard, tutu or princess dress so she can dance around. It's adorable.
